Knott Scholars gathered for a fun day of networking hosted by Loyola University Maryland on their beautiful campus. The weather cooperated perfectly with sunny skies as the secondary scholars kicked off the event by participating in a scavenger hunt using the GooseChase app, spearheaded by college scholar volunteer, Ben McQueeney.
The scavenger hunt took students all over Loyola’s campus as they completed challenges and tasks as teams. It was a great way for our scholars to get to know each other and get a chance to tour the campuses of Loyola and Notre Dame of Maryland University, which are connected by bridge!
Following the scavenger hunt, all students participated in “speed networking” which gave them a chance to practice their networking skills and make connections with peers. Students rotated partners every couple of minutes, introducing themselves and having quick conversations to learn about one another’s interests, goals, and more.
Many thanks to Ben McQueeney for organizing the engaging GooseChase activity and to all the college scholar volunteers who made this event possible by sharing their time and positive energy. And of course, thank you to Loyola University Maryland for welcoming the Knott Scholar group to their beautiful campus and providing such a perfect setting for this impactful student event.
The students left feeling inspired and connected – a wonderful outcome for this special day. We appreciate everyone who participated and look forward to meeting with more scholars soon!
