The weekend of September 18-19, 2021 will give new, current, and alumni Knott Scholars and their families an opportunity to gather to show their appreciation of the gift of a Catholic education made possible by the generosity of Marion and Henry Knott.
The Knott Scholarship Funds have provided for the education of more than 1600 Catholic Students in the Archdiocese of Baltimore since awards began in 1981.
This year there are opportunities to give back and celebrate!
On September 18, 2021, there will be a service/cleanup day at St. Michael-St. Clement School located at 10 Willow Avenue, Baltimore. St. Michael-St. Clement is this year’s Knott Scholar Partner School. Scholars have worked with the school to provide supplies, books for recreational reading, and will be gathering to help work on the physical grounds of the school. “Many hands make light work!” so please join us for this worthwhile event.
On Sunday, September 19, 2021 at 10 am at Maryland University, Maryland, we will be coming together for Mass celebrated by Archbishop Lori. We will be recognizing the 2021 Knott Scholar class at that time and will be hosting a reception following Mass to let Knott Scholars and the extended community gather for fellowship.
Kelly Dryden Brown, Knott Council Member, graduates from the first Knott Scholar Class in 1985.
